Oh joy, a computer.

So, my computer has been down for a few days. I want to post some pictures of girl's night. I loved it! Also of course my children. I love them too. And soon we will have grass. Tomorrow actually! So what did I do with all the time I didn't spend on the computer while I should've been cleaning my house and folding laundry. I read Breaking Dawn. I enjoyed the rest of the Twilight Saga, but wasn't as "into" (obsessed) with it as most people. And I never got around to reading the last one, so now I have. It is so easy to get sucked in. I've never read some 700 or something pages that quickly. Anyway maybe tonight I'll get some pictures on here. Until then.. .

Girls!

I love my girlfriends. And I am always looking for new ones to collect. A couple Fridays ago when Trent was on one of his many scout campouts, my little brother Mark was kind enough to come watch the kiddos so I could go on a "date" with Mel. I am so glad that Mel bought a house close to ours. I usually get to see her once a week. Yay. We went to The Cheesecake Factory, ran in the mall for a few minutes, grabbed Star Trek from Red Box, came home to relieve Marky and snuggled in my bed with our movie and take out cheescake. Glorious. We thought a view up our nostrils would be nice.

Can't wait for more girl time tonight. Girl's night hopefully every month and tonight we eat! We always eat!

Pics and recaps

These are the pavers I was telling you about. Trent did a lot of prep work for these babies. Making sure they would drain water away from the house, taking out tons of dirt and layering back up with ABC and sand. Then he did all the cutting and laying. He is a jack of all trades and I love all he does for our home! Now for grass!! Can't wait.

Yesterday Charlotte's preschool went to "tour" Krispy Kreme. The tour was lame, but the doughnuts were tasty.
The cutest kids ever.

They did not want to wear the hats, but a good mother always makes kids do stuff they don't want to if it makes a cute picture, right?

Bunko girls.

I am not an official member of the group anymore, but I went to the hair accessory making "Bunko" night last week and had a blast. This is Kristen. I love her. And my face is fat.
Donna busy crafting and Katie growling in background!
Charlotte, Kristen, and Desiree. Super cuties.

Landscape and more

Trent spent the majority of this weekend putting pavers in our backyard. He's making a lovely grilling/seating/eating area and a walkway where the kids will surely push trucks all day long (when it's not too hot). It already has made a world of differend to the look of our yard and I can't wait for the grass.

I will be requesting $$ to spend on the inside of our home the next time he gets a real estate comission. Oh how I dream of kitchen cupboards, drapes, lamps, furniture, wall art.
These are some pictures that inspire me!

I love bold colors. Mid century design. But sometimes I like the shabby look too. I could drool over design magazines all day. I think I need to go subscribe to one!

filling orders

My job is mostly filling people's (very small people usually) orders. Breakfast, snacks, lunch and dinner orders. Orders for clothes and clean diapers. Orders for clean laundry and dishes. Orders for groceries, toiletries, tickles, kisses, and so forth.

So when I am asked to fill a different kind of order, it is quite refreshing.

Trent's mom asked me to make her a pink and white headband. Fun.

A fan of my Busy Bee SIL who liked the necklace I gifted her requested a similar necklace, but customized to her wants. Cool.

I like making pretties.

Happy Life

Yesterday we released our last 6 butterflies. It was wonderful seeing them finally able to fly high out in the open.
Meal times as a family are the best! Henry eating breakfast in his diaper, one snow boot, and one cowboy boot. He is so funny about shoes. Usually he won't let his green crocs leave his sight and I have to put them next to him in his crib during naps "so Paisley doesn't get them".
Tucker was showing me how he can whistle. He has his first loose tooth this week and is so excited about it!
The face I just can't get enough of!

Hooray, I have a hobby!

I made this headband for my cousin Abbie to wear to a wedding this week and I am finishing up two more for my mother in law and one for a friend's sister. It makes me happy to make something and even happier to see them wear it. If you want me to make you a headband for $15, just let me know what colors you want and I will whip up a couple for you to choose from. Then if you decide you don't love it or don't want it, no biggie, I'll just list it in my etsy shop the Goodie Jar.

A little of this and that

Friday night Daddy had a camp-out. After our fancy dinner at Chic-Fil-A, the kids wanted a sleepover on the couch bed. Henry didn't actually sleep there, but did enjoy a movie snuggling.
That night Paisley had some throwing up and dry heaving but seemed fine in the morning. Lindy offered us free passes to the zoo and we just couldn't pass up a fun day out with our friends!
We were all wiped out when we got home. Daddy was tired from camping too. Sunday we celebrated Andrea's b-day. This is the gift I made her.

HANKY PHOTOGRAPHY:

I had to crop this a lot, but it's not bad!

This is my favorite picture of Trent and myself. Henry was pointing the camera at me and a split second before he clicked Trent dove in for a kiss to ruin the shot. It didn't get much, but you can tell that I'm smiling. I love it!
