Sarah today

My oldest sister Sarah is in the hospital today. Sarah is a single mother of three handsome, very funny boys. Sarah is beautiful and very funny herself. She is also very brave and going through a lot right now. A few weeks back Sarah started to have some troubling symptoms. After doing some research on the internet she thought she may have Lupus. Then she also began having seizures in her sleep. When her bloodwork came back negative for Lupus, she went to see a neurologist. They found that she had a tumor in her brain. This tumor is about the size of a lime, located in her frontal lobe on the right side of her brain.
She is scheduled to have an operation to remove this tumor this Friday, December 8th. Even on the medicine she was given to supress her seizures she has continued to have them. Monday night and early yesterday her symptoms have become so badthat she called her doctor to see what she could do. He found her a room at the surgical center in Phoenix and they admitted her yesterday, 3 days early. They are doing tests and keeping an eye on her there for now. Everyone please keep your thoughts and prayers with Sarah and her boys. We are all optimistic, but also very shaken up. Thank you.
Robin

These are the soccer pictures I was refering to in my last post. As you can see in the team photo Tucker is the only one not looking at the camera. As for the individual photo, in my opinion it looks like he is trying to squeeze out a nice B. M. Not his best look. next year I think we'll do pictures on our own.
Tucker has been enjoying this super hero cape. A couple Christmases ago his Aunt Stacey made these for all the boys with their first initial on them. He was too young to enjoy it then, but he is loving it now. And so am I.
I found Charlotte sitting in the drawer of the train table where we keep books this morning. Pretty cute.

Weekend game and wedding

Saturday morning we headed to Tucker's last soccer game. Lindy even came to watch with all her kids and kid brother in tow. The game went really fast especially since Tucker's team were all there so they had to sub kids in and out. He didn't score any more goals, but did great chasing that ball and getting right in the pack fighting for it. They also got their pictures and trophies after the game. I didn't really care for how the pictures turned out, but it's a funny keepsake.
After we got home Trent headed out with Blake and Andrea to get things all ready for the wedding that afternoon. I got the kids down for naps, got myself ready, got the punch ready and Trent's clothes packed in the car. I had to wake Tucker up to get him ready to leave in time. Charlotte woke up on cue and I got her all cute and we headed out for the 30 minute drive to Queen Creek. Charlotte was taken from my arms as soon as I walked in and passed around for the first couple hours of the evening. I helped with some last minute things and the wedding began. It was really pretty and everything went well. Troy and Jennifer finally married after being together 7 years! Troy is Trent's youngest brother. It was cold out, and everyone was warming up around the heaters. We finally got home and the kids in bed around 9pm. Sunday we visited with all the family that hadn't left town yet and opened presents early from Grandma and Grandpa Summers. However Charlotte was not feeling well with snot everywhere and a slight fever. We said our goodbyes and came home to relax.
These last two pictures are just random. Tucker took the one of me. I like this one of the kids even though Charlotte is sad.

Festive Meme

Tori Tagged me for this Christmas meme.
1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate?
I love both. And Wassail. Trent thinks eggnog is gross. I'll have to buy single servings.

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? Mostly justs sets them out. Maybe wraps a couple. Little kids like unwrapping.

3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? We don't have any on our house. White on our tree. I like the big colored old school lights.
4. Do you hang mistletoe? No. But I do like kissing.

5. When do you put your decorations up? Usually right after Thanksgiving. This year I started even earlier.

6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)? I love a honey glazed ham!

7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child: I mostly remember the year we got a trampoline. We woke up and it was all set up in our back yard. I don't even know how old I was. 7 maybe?

8. How and When did you learn the truth about Santa? I don't remember a specific moment of finding out. I was probably like 10.

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? Yes. We used to have a cousin gift exchange at my Grandma's house. She would always give us all jammies too. Now we do it as adults with our siblings (mine or Trent's depending on the year).
10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree? Right now we have a pre-lit artificial tree that has red balls, gold bells, and ornaments given to us by my mom and mother in law. I have no topper yet. I am going to try to find a star and candy canes to add today. All the ornaments start almost halfway up to keep out of a little girl's reach.
11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? I love to look at it and I used to love to play in it. I guess I'll live without the driving in it and bundling up for it though.

12. Can you ice skate? Umm...kind of.

13. Do you remember your favorite gift? My husband usually does really good. I think my guitar (although I have yet to learn how to use it) and my sewing machine would be right up there.

14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you? Celebrating Christ's birth, being together with my family, food, music, and finding a way to do service.

15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert? Maybe fudge.

16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? I'm not sure yet. I like reading I believe in Santa Claus Christmas Eve. I want us to find something to do together as a family for someone who isn't going to have a great Christmas.

17. What tops your tree? Nothing yet.

18. Which do you prefer giving or Receiving? My favorite is watching how people react to what I give them.

19. What is your favorite Christmas Song? The whole Amy Grant "Home for the Holidays" CD. I think that's the one anyway. I know it's Amy Grant.

20. What is your favorite Christmas story? The story of the birth of Jesus is my favorite of course. I like Christmas Oranges too.

I choose you Pikachu. I mean Abbie and Lindy.
