Question of the day

For those of you who have seen The Backyardigans, what is Uniqua supposed to be? There is a moose (Tyrone), a penguin(Pablo), a kangaroo(Austin), a hippo(Tasha), and the mysterious spotted pink Uniqua- I can't figure it out!

OH MY GOSH>>> I am so glad that this bothers someone else! I have actaully researched my guts out online and I cant figure it out...Dustin thinks she's an ant?? It bothers me, why would they make the other 4 well known animals then make her a "thing!"

Okay, I RESEARCHED this once upon a time because it bugged me so much. She's not supposed to be anything. That's why she's Uniqua. Seriously.

According to creator Janice Burgess, Uniqua is just her. “Uniqua is her name, and also her species – with her purple skin, pink spots, and dainty antennae, she doesn’t look like any other creature on the planet.”

OH MY GOSH! I was seriously going to blog about Backyardigans today. Kevin thinks that Pablo is a duck and I know he is a penguin. I am so winning this bet.

I read somewhere that she was a ladybug. But why she would be that huge is beyond me!

All these comments are cracking me up! I have no idea what the answer is, but being her own creature per her name makes sense!

Back-yard-a-who? So glad someone knew the answer and even gladder that my kids are past this stage. I need a shirt that says I survived the Barney craze ;)

Word verification is sally. How appropriate for Halloween (being tomorrow)

Yes, she's a Uniqua. I think that may actually be mentioned in one of the episodes. Now can you explain why the adults on Little Bear wear clothes and the children don't? That really bugs me.

I have no idea, but what really freaks me out is the red character on Yo Gaba Gaba... that show scares me.
