Yes, I am superwoman

People keep telling me that I am superwoman. I keep thinking that what they really mean is that I am insane for having so many young children so close together. I have come to find that surviving these days does indeed make me superwoman. And I know that there are lots of other superwomen out there- glad you could join the club Bri.(if you want a good laugh click here)
Trent had a camp out last friday night and then was gone in Miami Monday through late Wednesday this week. Thank goodness my sister Karen slept over Monday night and helped all day Tuesday until my sweet MIL came over with dinner. I probably wouldn't have made it without the help I had that day because Monday and Wednesday evening were pretty trying. Try feeding 4 small children and getting them ready and tucking them in. It's hard. Especially with the baby and Henry needing me to personally feed them, in different ways of course. Man I am glad that I am not a single mother! Crying is pretty much a part of my daily routine lately. But you know what, so is laughing and kissing and snuggling and staring googly eyed at my wonderful babies. I love my children. And each day I have at least one moment where I really love my life (today it was Henry kissing me over and over between bites of oatmeal!) That is what keeps me going when I look at myself in the mirror and see myself in my sweats covered in spit up with my 25 extra pounds and my hair that hasn't been washed in two days.

Kids kisses are as good as mommy kisses. They make everything all better, even if only for a moment.

I don't think you are crazy. I think you are super woman. I couldn't do it and remain sane. I almost went crazy with two kids 25 months apart. I am a wimp.

I have four six and under, the oldest two are 11.5 months apart so I TOTALLY understand where you are coming from. You are superwoman. I haven't had to put all four to bed by myself, but getting them all out the door on my own is a highly interesting task. At least my 2 year old (my Tucker) feeds himself and my 6 year old will help him dress. That's a life saver right there.

Jackson's just a couple weeks older than Paisley and I no longer cry daily, but my hubby is home every night to help out. I had major post partum after my first and a milder case this time around. Just keep an eye out for that and ask for help whenever you need it. Your children are just gorgeous!

You are SUPERWOMAN... if you can survive a hard day that moves you to superhero status in my book!

Okay, as long as we can keep seeing the bright spots amid all of the chaos, it will all be all right, right? You are superwoman or at least supermom and wife merely by surviving each day and getting up each morning to do it all over again. I'm with you. People always tell me I'm brave for having the four so close together, I usually respond with, "yeah, or just really stupid" =). We love them all the same though.

You are superwoman! I'm glad you've got some family help- new babies are just hard, especially with other little ones! I hear we'll miss this when they are all older...
