Chloe isn't the only chubby one around here

So, here we go again. I am breastfeeding exclusively, and some people say that they lose weight while nursing, but I didn't seem to get that perk. Nursing just seems to make me more ravenous then ever.
I gained some weight before I got pregnant and almost 30 lbs while prenant and have hardly lost any since Chloe's birth. That puts me about 40 lbs over what I want to be. It freakin sucks. I hate getting dressed each day. I hate that it is swimsuit season around here. I hate looking in the mirror. I don't want to be in pictures. I hate being in this place again. I can't imagine when I can get to the gym since Trent has been working early, that hasn't been an option- not that I can imagine giving up any precious sleep right now anyway. The kids are out of school now and I am not going to pay for 5 childcare passes. It is up to 100 degrees in the evenings already which makes it hard to go jogging. I guess it is time to start doing work out videos at home. Not my idea of fun. And watching what I eat. Not easy. I think I will try Weight Watchers. Wish me luck.

You can do it! I will be in the same boat in a few months so I can already sympathize with you. I keep seeing weight watchers and thinking I might try it so if you do it I'll be calling for advice. Like I said you'll be dropping lbs in no time. love you!

I've been in your shoes. haha. In fact i'm still in your shoes :) Just remember to love yourself anyway. You just grew an amazing little girl in your body and it's going to take time. Good luck with the weight loss and in the mean time flaunt what ya got ;)

I lost 40 lbs with Weight Watchers last year. I can't say it was easy, but it's the best thing I have tried. Keeping it off is almost just as hard =( You can do it!!

I was in your shoes just 6 months ago-- except my baby was turning 6. I started attending meetings at Slimming World-- it's the UKs largest weightloss program and just came over to the US. I've lost 39 pounds. I KNOW you can do it!! My exercise consists of Just Dance on the Wii-- so the kids can do it with me-- jogging occasionally, and Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred. It's only 20 mins., but it kicks my butt. I think you are super beautiful and I'm jealous of your style. Don't beat yourself up. You're awesome.

I'm with Tori on this...Jillian Michael's DVD kicks butt! Also, before I got pregnant I lost 20 pounds, and that was by cutting out bread, rice, potatoes and sugar. It was hard for the first 2 weeks, but then your body gets used to not having sugar in it, and you don't crave it anymore! And this was during the holiday season! You can do it.

I feel you. I hate hearing about people who lose weight while nursing. I gained a good 40 lbs with each of my babies and maybe lost 5 after they were born. I didn't lose any more weight until I stopped nursing.
I know it's hard to do, but try not to stress while your nursing, you're doing what's best for her and know that when you are done you can work your butt off.
The only thing that has ever helped me lose weight is cutting out carbs (no matter how much I was running). Good luck, I know how frustrating it is. I stopped nursing 2 months ago and have lost 20 lbs, so still have a good 10 to go before I can even fit into my pre-pregnancy clothes (which weren't skinny by any means).

Seriously! I agree with Skye! I am still nursing and I have been running and have lost 0 lbs. And I've been running since March!! So frustrating!! But you're beautiful! And your baby is getting what she needs from you so keep your chin up!! It will all be okay! We can do it together!! :)

Someone's advice who has been there six times. Get a treadmill, use it everyday, and join weight watcher's....it will start to melt off.
Good luck! Only that cute baby makes it all worth it.
