Mel Saves the Day

Yesterday we had a nice morning. Jonah and Emily had spent the night and we got to play with them all morning. Henry and Jonah were trying to nap at the same time and managed to keep each other awake resulting in no morning nap for Henry and a short one for a tired Jonah. We finally all got ready and Emily headed for the park with all the kids but Henry. Henry and I went to grab lunch at Subway that we could eat at the park. By the time we ate Henry was so exhausted and Charlotte was acting very tired too. So, on with the story. I had a 2:00 appointment to go to. Emily had suggested she could take the 2 older kids with her back to my mom's where she thought Jonah would nap better. That was a great relief. But didn't work out. My mom called with the news of her and Karen being sick and not wanting to pass it on. Emily didn't want to stay fearing a repeat of the non- naps and having miserable babies. I couldn't reach a friend of mine in the ward to help with the kids and didn't know what to do. Trent said he may or may not be out of a meeting and would try to meet me there if I had no other option. At this point I was so frustrated and feeling upset and exhausted.( It didn't help when I found Charlotte still awake in her crib with her diaper pulled off.) Then I thought I would try calling Mel. She was AMAZING! She changed her plans, delivering her own furniture to someone that couldn't pick it up until 2, just so she could come help me. She drove here so I wouldn't have to wake my kids and when I came home she had done my dishes! I can't thank her enough. She was exactly what I needed and lifted my load and mood considerably. She is handling more than her share already and yet was able to serve me in a way that was SO needed. I was feeling alone and overwhelmed and she took that all away! I am so grateful for a selfless friend like Mel! She also go t a couple cute pictures of her little Gracie with Henry, click here to see.

fun

Last week we had a lot of fun. Monday we had lunch with Papa at Souper Salad. Thursday we got to spend time with Aunt Emily and her darling one year old Jonah! We will be seeing them much more this week. Friday we had lunch with Grandpa at Fuddruckers. Tucker saw firemen there who gave him stickers and Henry really enjoyed himself going to town chewing a pickle!
I love Sundays. I love my kids in their Sunday clothes. Unfortunately you don't get the full effect here. Now that we have 8 am church we take Henry in his jammies and after we've had the sacrament we have a nice trip to the mother's room to feed him and change him into his fancy clothes.

Mmmm, Play Doh

Now that Henry is crawling all over the place, I really need to watch what Charlotte leaves on the ground. Yesterday I found Henry with a sucker in his mouth and today it was purple play doh! Yum.

I still love you

Since I read everyone's blog whenever there is a new post through google reader I decided to cut down my link list just to my private blog friends that I can't check through the google reader. And I kept Abbie on there so I can link to her etsy store easily. So don't worry, I may be lame at commenting and I may not have you linked to on my sidebar, but rest assured, I read your posts the day they are posted. I love my googlereader.

Henry crawls

If you listen you can hear Charlotte say, "Little Hanky crawling."
Later she was telling me that Henry has Rhino hair, aka a mohawk.

TV Talk

I am excited for a new America's Next Top Model to start tomorrow. I know I'm pathetic. I also currently enjoy Project Runway, Smallville, and pretty much everything on HGTV.
I am missing Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars that were cancelled last season. I miss Grey's Anatomy, The Office, and Desperate Housewives due to the dumb strike.
I can't understand how people like to watch Reba, 2 and 1/2 Men, and almost everything on MTV.

I need to stop watching TV and get a life.

Love Day

I must admit Valentine's Day has never been one of my favorite's. However, I seem to be liking it more each year.

I love my Valentine. He's been absolutely wonderful this week. Cleaning, folding laundry, helping with sick whiney kids and with tired, whiney me. Trent you are the best!

The cutest teeth ever!

click on it to enlarge. aren't those the tiniest cutest things?
I just thought this one was cute too.

Girl's night

First off, Nancy Face gave me the Spreader of love award. Thank you. I don't deserve it. I read her blog and rarely spread my love there, so she was simply being nice.Between Nancy and my sister Emily, they've pretty much passed it on to everyone I know, so I think I will leave it at that.

This weekend was just more of everyone being sick. Sunday was bad. Then yesterday Charlotte was the only one who was still really sick. She was running a fever all day and I was holding her for a large portion of the day. I was worn out by night and ready for girl's night.

We had 6 girl's total at Olive Garden. Michelle, Katie, Kari, Jill, Mel, and I. I had a fantastic time. These girls are a riot! We had a very tall, handsome waiter which only added to our enjoyment of the evening. I wish I had gotten pictures, but as usual I can't find the battery charger for my camera.

Is this week over yet?

Mon- I had some personal issues.
Tue- Tucker gets sick with a fever.
Wed- Tucker stays sick.
Thursday- Tucker gets better. I get sick. Henry gets sick. I take Henry to the dermatologist.
Fri- I stay sick, Henry stays sick. Charlotte smashes and possibly breaks her toe.

I can't wait for girl's night on Monday.

Why?

These lyrics have been going through my head for the last couple of days and I can't stop them.

Say my name Say my name. If no one is around you, say baby I love you. Baby say my name.
Say my name say my name. You actin' kinda shady, ain't callin' me baby, why the sudden change? Baby say my na-a-ame.

I voted yesterday

At 6:50 pm in true Robin style. Yes, even though I had an early voter ballot. Oh well, I did it.

And also. Henry's second tooth came in yesterday too. What a big boy. Two teeth in two days.

Henry NEWs

Yesterday Henry's first tooth broke through. It is just tiny little ridges on his bottom center left gum. When it's a little bigger I'll try to get a picture.

Also Henry has some new exercises. He gets his belly off the ground, gets on his hands and knees and rocks. He also sometime balances just on his hands and feet, sticking his butt in the air. It's great. He will be crawling soon. Although he's already pretty good at rolling and scooting backwards and somehow getting to a whole different side of the room. What a show off!
