Party Hardy

What a weekend!
Thursday I needed to make a trip to Costco for the stuff for the luncheon on Sunday. Grandma Terrie took Henry while I made the trip with the other 2 monkeys (kids, that is). We enjoyed many samples and Costco style dinner. Then we picked up Henry ran to the house to meet Trent and get Tucker changed and went to his soccer practice. After some whining we finally got him to join in the practice. After we came home and got the kids ready for bed Henry and I went way out to Queen Creek for an old friends baby shower.

Friday night was spent mostly cleaning in preparation for Sunday. Trent finished painting the unfinished portion of the wall where it meets the ceiling in our living room, kitchen, and family room. Wow, it looks great!
Karen cut and colored my hair! I will post pictures later, we still have some adjustments to make.

Saturday morning was more cleaning and laundry and sorting. I sanded some nightstands my mom had given us and Trent painted them black. They turned out really nice. Our nephew Kade was having a kid party for his 9th birthday at this big gymnastics center. We went and everyone had a great time swinging on ropes, bars and rings, jumping on trampolines, and jumping into a big foam filled pit. Trent and his brothers and Dad all wore themselves out doing various tricks. After 2 years of not working out Trent had no trouble climbing up the rope with his legs sticking strait out and also climbing it upside down. What a hottie! I couldn't even do one pull-up, but I am sore from busting out a few push-ups. Pathetic.
On the way home we stopped to grab Kade's present for his Sunday family dinner. We also had to stop and fill up on gas. By the time we got home and got the kids in bed we still had lots to do. Trent had to run to his brother's house and his Mom's to get tables, chairs and tablecloths. We set them up in our empty front room. Then Trent got to hanging stuff on the walls and I got to folding the largest heap of laundry I've ever seen. Man was I tired by the time we tucked in bed.

Sunday morning we enjoyed some snuggle time in the bed before getting out to finish our final preparations. Shredding pork, bathing kids, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, etc. We finally got out the door 10 minutes before our 10 O'clock meeting. Luckily Trent's family had seats saved and we got settled in. Henry looked adorable and Trent did a wonderful job giving his Blessing. I was so emotional. It was so fun to see my little brother Mark there in the circle. After listening to a few long winded story/testimonies I finally got to share mine about 5 minutes before the meeting ended. As usual I turned into a big baby.
Well we headed over to my house with our families and enjoyed a fantastic lunch of green chili pork burritos, Dusti's 7-layer dip, Chili's chips and salsa and bean dip compliments of Jennifer and my dad's yummy Pizoli (Mexican pork soup) and delicious fruit from Terrie. Mmmm.
Trent's family cleaned my whole kitchen while I was saying goodbye's (how awesome are they!)

After a little rest, we then headed to Bart and Dusti's for Kade's birthday dinner. It was perfect outdoor weather and it was a fabulous finish to a busy weekend!

Wow, you've had an insanely busy week! :0

I came with Lauren to see Henry being blessed. It was such a beautiful blessing, and he looked adorable in his outfit...especially the little hat! :)

I loved hearing your wonderful testimony. You weren't exaggerating about the long winded stories, haha! I was starting to wonder if you'd ever get your turn! ;)

How cute that Mark got to help with the blessing. I wish I could have been there, and not just for the food. Love you guys!
