Baby Name

Before I talk about baby names, other stuff.
Gina called last night. I am usually not much of a phone person, but I had so much fun talking to my old friend last night. I was laughing so hard and having a great chat. The only other people I seem to be able to interact on the phone well with is Michelle Bl. and Candace. I am pretty sure that is because they are far away, so by the time I get to talk to them, I have a lot to tell them.
Anyway, what was supposed to be girl's night this Thursday has turned into feed the missionary night. Not quite what I had in mind, but what are you gonna do, you know?
I went to my mom's for a while yesterday. Sarah was there and my baby was really kicking, so she got to feel him. It was really exciting and fun to share with someone since Trent is the only other one who has felt him yet.
Charlotte was looking darling in her new shirt. Here she is climbing on the dishwasher door.

And here she is sitting on Tucker's chest reading a book.
So now, about the names.
There are 3 names we like. I debated putting them on here, but I am curious what people think. And well, my curiosity won out. Go ahead, take your vote, even suggest other names. Now just to clear things up, these votes will in no way affect the outcome of our baby's name. It is simply for my own amusement and information to consider.

1. Henry
2. Crosby
3. Griffin

*Voting for Dummies Tip: Saying that you hate one or all of these names may be offensive, as we obviously really like them. We are aware that these are unusual names. That is part of their appeal. Mocking these names may lead to awkwardness later when we name our child one of them.

Thanks for participating.

Out of respect for our friendship, I cannot comment on your names. I can just say that I am glad I get to pick a GIRL name!!!!

The voting for dummies is so obvious, yet SO necessary. My vote is for Henry. And I noticed (I think on Lauren's blog) that you were considering Emmett (sp?) too, which I also vote for (in no particular order).

am i allowed to say which one i like the least? well i will anyways, i say please don't choose henry, in my opinion it doesn't go with your other two kids' names and it makes me think of carolines kid's name thaddeus, that being said out of the three griffin is my pick

I LOVE Henry!! I'm very partial to it because I really wanted to use it but Robby hated it, as did most of his family. But I'm getting a nephew soon named Henry and I LOVE IT! I think there should be more 2 year old Henry's running around in jean jackets! That's always been my fantasy.

you know, even if you name your baby something people hate, they will like it after they get to know him. that's happened with some of my nieces and nephews. they were named names that i thought "um, not so much" but now i couldn't picture them with any other name. i vote for henry.

Ok- I am a lurker, but finally had to comment- go for Henry. I always wanted a boy I could call John Henry, Dork, that I am! Also, Hank is the nickname for Henry, which I didn't know for years!

Crosby? All I can think of is Crosby, Stills and Nash, is it just me??

Good MANLY man names!

I do really like Emmett too, but with Tucker, Trent wouldn't consider that name, so we'll see.

I seem to be the only one who is voting for Crosby...I LOVE that name...it is adorable and very manly in my opinion. I like all the names but, definately Crosby all the way!

i love your voting for dummies tips. seriously, some people are so lame.

i like all of your choices, but henry is my favorite.

all i can say is my baby better be a girl because boy names are too hard!

I vote for Griffin 1st and Henry last. When I hear Henry I think of Henry the 8th and he was a fat king who killed all his wives. So it's more of a name-association thing than a "I don't like that name" thing.
I also have an Uncle Emmett and I love him. :)

I have a friend who named her son Griffin (he's six now)---and I love it. I think it's so masculine.

I like them all. You mentioned Henry before you knew you were having a baby Charlotte.

I had such a ball talking to you last night. I miss laughing that hard with you on a pretty daily basis.

Griffin is my favorite out of the three!!!

I have a friend with a two year old named Griffin, which is cute, but I'm favoring Henry and I think if I say it a few more times I might like Crosby even more. And I must disagree with Lindy cause I think it goes great with the other kid's names and Thaddeus goes better with Griffin (just cause they both sound mythilogical). Um, and I love your tip, though people seem to be heeding it only barely. Oh, and I still like Harrison.

I know several Henry's so that name doesn't seem unusual to me. I love Griffin or Crosby. I think they sound like last names and I have wished for some time that I had given one of my boys my maiden name- go for it. You are the one who has to call the child when it won't come;-)

Well after all that being said, I realized that I just adore Crosby- so that is where my vote goes.

I hope you didn't think I wasn't following the tip by saying I thought of Henry VIII. I certainly didn't mean anything mean by it. "The Fonz" is also Henry. :)
And for the record- no one wanted us to name Liv "Liv", but we did anyway.
